Why do my annotation results contain more or less frames than expected?

  • Updated

The FPS value provided at asset upload may be different from the asset’s actual Frames Per Second. If a higher Frames Per Second value was provided, the number of resulting frames would be more than expected. Conversely, a lesser number of resulting frames will be produced if the Frames Per Second value provided was less than the asset’s actual Frames Per Second value.

If you are using a Google Chrome browser, verify that the Frames Per Second value provided is the same as the value displayed for the asset. FPS_Check.png

For all other browsers, it is recommended that you use the Alegion Video Validator to determine the asset's Frames Per Second value before uploading the asset.

If a record has already been created from an asset with an incorrect Frames Per Second value specified, follow these steps:

  1. Archive the record.
  2. Edit the asset's Frames Per Second value in the Assets panel.
  3. Create a new record from the updated asset.
